5 Senior Bowl TEs for Chicago Bears to watch
1. Harrison Bryant:
Best NFL role: tight end
Harrison Bryant comes in as the Mackey Award winner for the top tight end in the country. He saw the most receiving production out of anyone in this group and was a focal point of the Lane Kiffin offense that helped get him an SEC job.
There is no doubt that Bryant comes in as the most versatile receiver. In terms of alignments, routes won, and the ability to stretch the field and work after the catch, he has shown all of this.
The questions come with his upside and ability to translate to the NFL. He was untested against lower competition often and will have to show speed, and the ability to seperate against bigger and faster players.
His blocking will also be the thing that all scouts are paying attention to. If he is just a flexed out receiver it is one thing, but if he presents value as a blocker, there is a lot to take away from here.
Look for Bryant to be a player Bears fans have eyes on, as well as scouts across the league.
