Who are the top interior offensive lineman that Chicago Bears fans should keep their eyes on this week?

Entering the 2020 offseason, it is fair to say that the Chicago Bears do not have a starting right guard. Rashaad Coward started at right guard most of last season and is currently penciled in as the starter.

However, Bears fans know that was an emergency situation, and while Coward took steps, he is still a backup lineman in the NFL with developmental upside. With that in mind, the team is sure to add a veteran free agent or draft pick to come in and compete for starting guard snaps next season.

With the Senior Bowl this week, scouts will get a first-hand look at some of the more experienced interior offensive lineman in the country.

As these linemen embrace a week of practice with NFL coaches watching, there are plenty of chances to improve your stock. Who are five offensive linemen that fans need to be on the lookout for this year?

Projected Round: 3

Lewis, a huge offensive lineman, checking into the Senior Bowl at 329 pounds. What makes Lewis so impressive is how well he can move for that size. Lewis is a player who can shoot out of stance and destroy defensive lineman. His initial push off of the football is something to see.

He is a vicious road grader who gets downhill in a hurry and is tough to get in the way of. Lewis also has two years of work at right guard, which helps his case for being on the Chicago Bears radar. If they want to fix the run game, this is their player.

However, Lewis has the potential to be a liability in the pass. His weight does not work as well as moving backward. He can lose his balance and with his mass can be due for some serious spills against bigger, faster lineman.

Rashaad Coward had severe issues with speed in 2019. That will not improve much if they add Lewis into the mix. This week teams will want to see his pass reps and his footwork moving backward. They will give him tips and see how he progresses through the week in that area.
