Special teams value

One of the more underrated factors of this signing is the special teams value that Demetrius Harris presents. Harris has played five of the six special teams units throughout his career. Last year he did not play as much as years past, but with Nagy, he was a versatile weapon on special teams.

Harris has 384 special teams snaps and has been graded above average on special teams in three of the past four years.

Last season he only played 52 special teams snaps, but the year before, he played over 90 special teams snaps.

Harris is not a legitimate pass-catching threat and is not an elite weapon on offense. However, combining his fit with Burton to the special teams’ value he brings, and there is an excellent chance that Harris will stick on the roster, at the very least, for one year.
