Who are five quarterbacks at the NFL combine that Chicago Bears fans should have their eyes on?

Nobody is certain what the Chicago Bears will do at quarterback next season. This makes the 2020 NFL draft all the more important. Of course, the Bears happen to only have a second-round pick due to the Khalil Mack trade.

So, while many fans will be eyeing Tua and his health, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert, Chicago Bears fans know that these are not realistic options.

Still, they will be watching the quarterbacks. Whether it be in round two for competition, or a late-round addition who can develop and fill a quarterback room, the team has to be eyeing this group of quarterbacks.

Who are five quarterbacks to watch, and what should Bears fans be looking for from these guys?

5. Cole McDonald

McDonald is a fascinating prospect. Coming from the pass-happy Hawaii, McDonald put up numbers, but we have seen many do that in Hawaii, and struggle to stick for even a year in the NFL.

McDonald is different, and he entered the draft early because he has a lot of the physical skills expected at the position. However, he is still a very raw passer, and the offense he was in did him no favors in showing his ability to process and command the pocket.

Unfortunately for Bears fans, the most important thing for McDonald will be showing himself on the whiteboard to coaches. If he can show them that there is something to buy into, he has made enough plays at Hawaii to take a late shot flier on.

The combine will make or break someone like McDonald, and if he does impress, the Bears need to be there to know.
