1. Ezra Cleveland,T, Boise State,

Before the NFL combine we had noted that Cleveland will likely be on the Bears radar, as he hails from the same college as Charles Leno. Similarly to Leno, Cleveland is a great athlete as well. As you can see below, Cleveland is an elite mover at his size.

Below you can see a list of every NFL tackle to record a short shuttle under 4.47. This shows quick feet and movement abilities needed to play tackle in the NFL. There are all hits on this list. Cleveland is right in the middle of this list.

His upside is questionable, but his floor is NFL starting tackle. Fans will get mad because he has a profile similar to Charles Leno. Both came from Boise State, both have quick feet and both questionable functional strength. However, while Leno put up 21 bench reps and his strength led to him falling so far in the draft, Cleveland put up 30 bench reps and showed that he has the quickness of Leno with even more functional strength.

Next. Signing this player would be a mistake. dark

He has Leno upside without the downside. Bears fans see Leno as a bad player, but Ryan Pace sees him as a gem of a 7th round pick that he turned into a starter. There is no doubt he will have an interest in Cleveland, who is a better version of his current left tackle. Do not be surprised to hear that Pace is interested in another tackle from Boise this year.
