Who are ten free agents the Chicago Bears should look for this offseason?

The NFL CBA has passed, and free agency is officially ready to begin. With the new salary cap in place, and counting the Kyle Long release, the Chicago Bears will have roughly $20 million in cap space as they currently stand.

This can sound like a lot, but the Bears are on the lower end of the NFL in salary cap space. So, they may be able to fill holes in free agency, but they will not be going after some of the splash signings.

With that in mind, who are ten realistic players that the Chicago Bears may be having their eyes on? Why would they fit, and what will their demand be?

10. Charles Clay, TE

We all know that the Chicago Bears need to add a tight end in some regard. While fans will jump at Austin Hooper, his price tag may max the Bears out. Could Charles Clay be a cheaper option?

Clay will play 2020 at the age of 32. He is not a game-changing tight end. However, he was still an impactful blocker last season and has reliable hands and an understanding of soft spots in zone.

Clay would come in and immediately be the most reliable tight end on the roster. Clay would be just a part-time player and a role tight end. However, his blocking can cut into the snaps that Trey Burton would play and would minimize the impact that Burton has in the blocking game.

Between Clay and Burton, they could have the start to rebuilding a room that was such a disappointment a year ago. Clay signed for just $2 million last season and would be an excellent discount signing for Chicago.
