Wide receiver is fairly deep for the Chicago Bears. This is not true for the New York Jets. Anthony Miller is one of my favorite players on the Bears, but even I understand the importance of moving on from him to lock up a talent like Adams. Miller had a strong rookie campaign and a mediocre sophomore season. Many will blame the quarterback and honestly, that is how Ryan Pace should play it while on the phone with the Jets.

Miller would come in and compete for the top wide receiver position. He has had some shoulder injuries, but the guy exudes confidence and natural talent. Sam Darnold would love to have a player like Miller on the team. Seeing him go would be harder than seeing Tarik Cohen go, but sometimes you have to make bold moves. Moves that we have seen Ryan Pace make in the past.

To make the trade work, the Bears would have to give up a third-rounder too. Pace does not have a third-round pick this year, but he will have to convince the Jets to take a third next year instead. If this does not work, the Chicago Bears could give up the second pick they own in the second round this year. I believe the third should work though seeing as Adams is on the last year of his contract currently anyway.

With the talent at the wide receiver position coming out this year, the Jets might not be interested in making this trade. Instead, they could add a player in the draft. With Quincy Enunwa and Jamison Crowder as the top wideouts, it would be ideal for the Jets to pair Miller with a wide receiver from the draft to truly improve the offense. Now they can do this, plus they walk away with a third-round pick next season. The trade is more than adequate if Adams pushes for a trade.

This is also something the Bears can employ. With the departure of Miller, the team would need to add a receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft as well. This would be where my favorite second-round option Jalen Reagor comes into the picture. Wow, this team would be hard to beat if the quarterback position and offensive line improve just ever so slightly over last year.
