Mitchell Trubisky – Kansas City Chiefs (27)

Just like that, Chicago Bears fans are angry once again with Mitchell Trubisky. This time they are upset that Trubisky landed with the Kansas City Chiefs and has had a better career than what we have seen thus far in Chicago. Andy Reid and Matt Nagy would find a way to unlock the talent and confidence that Trubisky has struggled to show on a consistent basis here with the Bears.

As much as people want to bash Trubisky, he was a first-round talent coming out of college. I wanted Deshaun Watson over him, but many thought Trubisky was the better NFL talent. He might be just as athletic, but he has struggled with the mental aspect of the game. I have no doubt Andy Reid would have been able to help him through this as he sat behind Alex Smith in 2017.

This means the Bears would have been stuck with Mike Glennon for all of 2017. Who knows what would have happened that year, but I guarantee the record would not have been any better. Glennon might have been the best free-agent option that season outside of bringing back Jay Cutler. The thing is, Cutler was probably the better answer. The team would have had to look to draft a quarterback in 2018.

Next. Should Bears draft a running back?. dark

I wonder if Nagy would have still ended up as the Chicago Bears coach. Who would they have taken at quarterback? Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Sam Darnold may have been in play. Wow. Things can change quickly if just one draft pick fell differently.
