Chicago Bears: Seven-Round Mock Draft proving Bears must trade back in 2020
The Chicago Bears are able to land a guy who I felt was a second-round talent in Lloyd Cushenberry. He stands 6’4″ and weighs in at 315lbs. Cushenberry was a center for LSU, but he could also bounce out to the guard position.

With this pick, the Chicago Bears would have Cody Whitehair, James Daniels and Cushenberry as versatile linemen who can play both center and guard. We saw what the switch from guard to center for Daniels and Whitehair did last year. It was nothing short of being a disaster.
Daniels does not have the vocal leadership needed to run an NFL offensive line. That said, I would love the idea of Cushenberry getting the chance, Whitehair moving to left guard and Daniels moving to right guard. The problem is the offseason is going to be limited and the team does not have time to make a move of this caliber.
Cushenberry is powerful and rarely loses his balance. He is not the type of blocker who loses out on bull rushes (ahem, Charles Leno). He also has great hand techniques. When I look at Cushenberry, I see a leader and this is why I do think he might be able to plug in at center eventually. His biggest issues are his lateral quickness and footwork, but he was often left alone in five-man sets while blocking for the Tigers last season.
This move alone would set a tone for the 2020 season. He would make a great addition at this point in the draft for the Chicago Bears.
