What are the Chicago Bears five biggest needs heading into the 2020 NFL draft?

Over the past week, we have gone through the Chicago Bears depth chart to identify where they stand on the roster and which positions are of need. With the majority of free agents being signed, the rest are likely to wait until the NFL draft to see where they may want to sign.

With that in mind, the Chicago Bears have shifted entirely to the NFL Draft. The Bears have eight picks in total, but five in the top 200. They need to find ways to add at least one player at each of the following positions in this year’s draft

5. LB Depth

This may be a cop-out because it technically fills two positions, but they need to spend, one and maybe two draft picks on the linebacker position. Danny Trevathan is a great asset when healthy, but that aside is needed more than ever as health is a definite issue. Behind him is questionable depth, and not much of it as it is. On the outside, Robert Quinn was a big add, but Barkevious Mingo is signed for one year, and Isaiah Irving and James Vaughters are low ceiling contributors who could be upgraded.

There is a real chance that they address both spots, but they will certainly hit one. Fortunately for them, they do have listed starters at each spot, so they are drafting depth and backups. These will likely be with their day three picks, but they will be drafted.
