2. Tight End

Tight Ends Mocked to Chicago Bears Most Often: Cole Kmet, Brycen Hopkins, Albert Okgwebunam

A lot of the tight ends being mocked to Chicago were likely before the Bears added Jimmy Graham. Still, Trey Burton has health issues, while Graham is a bit older. If tight end is the best player available, it is still not going to get crossed off the list of potential draft options in the second round.

Kmet is the most likely to be drafted here. A lot of analysts do not like how raw he is, but forget that he is still not 21 years old. To put that into perspective, Brycen Hopkins is two full years older than Kmet. There is a real chance that by the time Kmet is Hopkins age, the debate looks silly.

Hopkins makes sense as he is a passing game impact, but Kmet has all-around tight end ability. This can help get him on the field as a rookie, even with Graham and Burton.

Albert O has excellent size and speed combination. Still, the question with him is whether too much is being made of a 40-yard dash, and not enough is being put into his questionable blocking.

Nonetheless, tight end is not completely off the table, especially since the Bears may get to take the top tight end.
