Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are in a similar situation as the Tennessee Titans. They have a young tight end they are hopeful will take the next step forward as their veteran tight end moves on. In this case, the veteran tight end is Jason Witten and the fresh face is Blake Jarwin.

The Cowboys do not have much room when it comes to the salary cap, but they have enough. Enough to add a veteran presence behind Jarwin. As the second option at the position in 2019, Jarwin recorded 365 receiving yards on 31 catches. Although he has caught 75 percent of his passes the last two seasons, he has only averaged 20 yards per game and three touchdowns per season. The Cowboys are hoping with an expanded role Jarwin’s stats increase too.

That said, having a complimentary tight end like Trey Burton would be ideal. He has served well in that role when filling in behind Zach Ertz and he has shown he can handle the load when needed. The Cowboys are another team I think Burton can find success and they can sign him to a two-year deal worth $6 to $8 million. Anything at this point is gravy for the Chicago Bears.
