4. Jake Fromm and Jalen Hurts
Once again, there are two players at the same position tied to the Chicago Bears. Jalen Hurts and Jake Fromm squared off in a National Championship a few years ago, and now the Chicago Bears decision-makers may be debating the two before the 2020 NFL draft.
Fromm has slid down draft boards with a poor combine that answered a lot of questions about his physical upside. However, he is a three-year starter who has taken the Georgia Bulldogs to heights they have not reached in over a decade. We wrote about why some fans may not like it, but Jake Fromm is a quarterback that Ryan Pace may reach for.
Hurts grew as a passer at Oklahoma, but things were so easy for him that it is hard to say if the system helped him more than he helped himself. Still, his athletic upside gives him an edge over Fromm, but the question is whether the Bears can trust in his anticipation skills.
It may not be likely that they take a quarterback, and if they do, it could very well be later. However, if they do take a quarterback in the top 50, these have been the two connected to the Chicago Bears most.
