Kyle Long – RG

If we are bringing back Jay Cutler we have to bring back one of his closest teammates. Kyle Long and Jay Cutler always got along and seem close off the football field as well. Long was drafted in 2013 and played four seasons with Cutler before he was let go.

Long was drafted in the first round and became an instant success. He was one of the most dominant guards in football. Moving him to right tackle in 2015 was a mistake and set Long back. The move probably shortened his career as he was plagued with injuries ever since. In fact, after 2015, Long never started in double-digit games during a season ever again.

Long has had some time to heal up now. If healthy he would be the top choice at right guard in 2020 and even a few years beyond. At 31 years old, he still has plenty of good football years left if not for the injuries. Think about it, would you rather have a healthy Long or take a chance on guys like Germain Ifedi or Alex Bars?
