Tarik Cohen, RB

The Chicago Bears depth chart at running back does not look great once you get past the first two names. That said, Tarik Cohen has proven to be a valuable asset. He struggled some in 2019, but the kid can clearly play and be a game-changer at times on offense. Not to mention, he brings an added value to the punt return game.

Looking at Cohen’s contract situation though, Ryan Pace may look to gain something in return for the “human joystick”. Cohen is in the last year of his rookie deal and will likely see a significant bump in salary come 2021. With the Bears’ current salary cap situation, will Pace find that Cohen is worth the added salary burden?

As running back take on major wear and tear throughout a season, it is possible that Cohen could net a solid return in either a late-round draft pick or he could be used in a trade involving players if the Bears find they need to improve at a more vital position. No matter the reason, we could see Cohen on the trade-block come fall.
