Chicago Bears: 4 players Ryan Pace could sell by the 2020 trade deadline

Akiem Hicks, DE
Bring on the hatred for this one. The only way this happens is if the Chicago Bears find themselves in contention for Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields in the 2021 NFL Draft. If the Bears have a record that only includes one or two wins, Pace would be wise to consider sending Akiem Hicks off in a trade deal. This would have to be for a draft pick or two and I would hope Hicks would return at least a third-round pick.
Seeing Hicks go would be a hard pill to swallow. He is a great player and one of the best fan interactions on the team. Unfortunately, he has two years left on his deal and the dead cap hit is extremely low. This can help with Hicks’ selling price. Just think about the Patriots who always seem to sell off their players at the right time.
If this situation occurs, we should start preparing for a Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace exit. If the Chicago Bears are failing that horribly in 2020, something has to change and honestly even guys like Khalil Mack could find himself back on the trading block.
light. More. Scheduling inequalities negatively affecting the Bears
Who else could you see as a surprise trade piece this season if things go bad or the team needs help at a different position? Outside of those four, I am not sure anyone else who might possibly be available would be worth it for a team to acquire.
