Ryan Succop, Kicker

Kicker has been a major need for the Bears after the unfortunate release of long-time kicker Robbie Gould. Ever since then, the Chicago Bears have brought in various kickers who have done pretty bad in their short time here.

Currently, Eddy Pineiro is the main kicker and after an 82.1 field goal percentage last season, the Bears should look to at least bring in some competition. The rookie did a fine job, but some competition is always nice. The Bears also added Ramiz Ahmed out of UNLV. The walk-on hit 15-of-20 field goals for UNLV.

Ryan Succop struggled last season coming off an injury only hitting one of his six field goals. He has a career field goal percentage of 82.2 and has been reliable for the Tennessee Titans outside of his injury-riddled 2019 season. His career-high field goal percentage was 91.7 when he nailed 22-of-24 field goals.

As stated above, Pineiro was fine last season, but he wasn’t great. He missed a few key field goals last season including the one against the Los Angeles Chargers that would have won them the game. Some competition could bring out the best in him as he seems to be an incredible competitor.
