Cordy Glenn, Offensive Tackle

To say the Bears had an issue at offensive tackle last season would be an understatement. The duo of Charles Leno and Bobby Massie was arguably one of the worst duos in the league. The Chicago Bears added recently released offensive tackle Jason Spriggs, but that might not be enough competition.

Cordy Glenn had all sorts of issues during his time in Cincinnati. He never played a full season in his two years there and he had issues with the coaching staff. According to a report from ProFootballTalk, Glenn had a disagreement with the coaching staff that he felt he was rushed in returning from his injury that led to a one-game suspension and a $200,000 fine.

On the bright side, Glenn is a veteran of the position who can play both guard and tackle. On the depth chart, Jonah Williams was expected to be the starting left tackle last season and Glenn would be the left guard, but after an injury to Williams, Glenn moved back to tackle. He is a guy that can push all of the starters and be ready to jump in if someone were to go down to an injury.

The addition of Glenn would also bring competition to the highly-scrutinized Leno. In two of the last three seasons, Leno was top five in penalties among all players in the NFL. Glenn could push Leno and possibly take his job if needed.
