The free-agent signing of Robert Quinn was hands down the most accepted offseason acquisition by Bears fans. With sack master Khalil Mack already in the starting lineup, adding Quinn makes Chicago’s defense even scarier. The 10-year veteran finished 2019 with the Dallas Cowboys, and led the team with 11.5 sacks.

In 2013, Quinn’s 19 sacks was second in the league while with the Rams when they were in St. Louis, and for his career has 80.5 sacks. So, finding his way to the quarterback is nothing unfamiliar to him. Furthermore, with his vast amount of experience, Quinn should be a great complement to Mack and a significant upgrade from Leonard Floyd.

Giving Quinn reps during the preseason will not only give him time to create chemistry with the rest of the Bears’ front seven, but it could also put Chicago’s defense in a great position to improve on their eighth ranking in total defense from 2019.
