Now is the time for the Chicago Bears offense to make a new identity. Tarik Cohen and David Montgomery can spearhead the attack.

With the Bears sitting at .500 in 2019 after winning the division the previous year, a new sense of urgency leaves this team wide open. A window for demolition across the league looked possible moving forward after the trade for Khalil Mack.  That trade took this team to legitimacy after a steep rebuilding phase. This team now find themselves fighting against time to keep that window open.

With the quarterback competition stemming in the city with Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles, players will feel the need to step up to improve this team. Who’s to say that Montgomery and Cohen won’t from the backfield?

An increase in touches for both of them can lead to problems for opposing teams. Both players hold the stamina to impact the game for all four quarters. After next season, Tarik Cohen will be an unrestricted free agent.

This season will be time for both Cohen and Montgomery to prove a point across the league. On one end, you have a second-year back looking to grow into his role. On the other, there’s a fourth-year back that is fixing to leave it all on the field every game. The show is soon to get rolling in Chicago.
