Which Chicago Bears players could win NFL honors this season?

Ever since Matt Nagy took over as head coach, he’s brought the Chicago Bears back into the spotlight. Despite going 8-8 last season, the team competed for a playoff spot and despite taking a big step back, the team still had a lot of potential.

The lack of offense on the team eventually lead to a decline in defensive statistics, but the core of the defense is still in place. Between guys like Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson, there is no shortage of talent on this side of the ball. Even on offense, there are plenty of pieces in play for this unit to bounce back. The offense has to take a step forward in order for this team to be relevant; guys have to step up who sat back last season.

Bringing in Nick Foles, Ryan Pace and the front office are showing that they want this team to compete for a title. They want to get the best out of Foles and Trubisky with a quarterback competition. This actually worked relatively well when Glennon was named the starter in 2017.

Trubisky, a rookie at the time, won over the locker room and had fans hoping he’d see the field over the veteran. Hopefully, this quarterback competition lends a little bit of help to a Chicago offense that hasn’t shown any signs of life in years.

The Chicago Bears are facing a make-or-break season in 2020 and there are plenty of stars on the team capable of taking them there. Here are the Chicago Bears top candidates for NFL honors in 2020.
