Chicago Bears: Why Allen Robinson has proven he deserves an extension

An extension would certify the Bears with a main target for several seasons to come. Management should act fast on the decision to extend Robinson’s time in Chicago unless risk losing a great athlete and even greater leader. Other receivers coming up under Robinson such as Anthony Miller, Javon Wims, and Riley Ridley could use him on the depth chart.
Chicago faced a similar situation with Alshon Jeffery after losing him to the Philadelphia Eagles. Similar to Robinson, Jeffery got off to a hot start early in his career. The Bears didn’t take the chance to extend his contract and Jeffery eventually won a Super Bowl with the Eagles.

Allen Robinson was a young playmaker before he signed with the Bears, and a playmaker he remained through his time there. Jacksonville missed out on a second kick towards his growth. The Bears shouldn’t make the same mistake twice within Robinson’s career and the last 10 years for them. Robinson shows up on the field with Chicago. Hopefully, he gets rewarded for his competitive play in the Windy City.
