Chicago Bears fans could be devasted to see Ryan Nall released

Every season, training camp and preseason heroes will emerge. Remember the name, Tanner Gentry? What is he doing now? Believe me, he is not the only one. Plenty of players have become fan favorites over the years, even if that player is not good enough to make the final roster.

To be honest, Javon Wims was somewhat that player last year too. He had a fabulous preseason and camp, but he failed to put that together on the field during the regular season. When we take a look at the running back depth chart for the Bears, two locks easily exist — David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen.

This leaves Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce to battle it out for the final spot. Plenty of hype exists surrounding Pierce as the guy to come in and surprise people this offseason. The team knows what it has in Nall already. He does not seem like a “bad” running back, but most think Pierce will be better despite Nall being ahead of him on the depth chart during their time together in college.

Nall is one of those famous preseason fan favorites. It seems that plenty of Chicago Bears fans believe in him taking on the third running back role. Personally, I would prefer the team to go out and sign one before September 13, 2020.
