Jaylon Johnson will not win the Chicago Bears starting corner position

Everyone keeps saying how Jaylon Johnson will win the starting corner position. Here is the thing, eventually everyone will be right. However, I just do not see that happening come Week 1 of the regular season. Johnson will struggle to prove himself in such a short period of time with limited practices and limited reps.

Instead, the Chicago Bears will likely start the year off with Kevin Toliver or Artie Burns. Just like how Johnson will struggle to have enough time to prove himself, I believe Burns will also struggle to do the same. This means Toliver is likely going to start the season as the Bears’ other corner opposite of Kyle Fuller.

The thing is, whether Toliver or Burns start, Johnson will take over the position within a short amount of time after the first game. In fact, it could be within the first game if the starter struggles or possibly the second game. Once Johnson takes over, we will see how great he is going to be. He might not come away with top interception numbers within the NFL each year, but he is going to be better than Fuller.
