3. Detroit Lions

Jarrad Davis, Jaimie Collins, Christian Jones, Jahlani Tavai

Jarrad Davis is a first-round pick, but it just has not come together for him. Entering year four, there is a lot on the line for him. The Lions went out and drafted Tavai, extended Jones, and signed Collins while waiting to see what they have in Davis.

There are no excuses in 2020 for Davis, but his questions currently push the group down. This leaves Jaime Collins as the leader. He is in Matt Patricia’s defense, so he should feel at home. Still, we saw Collins away from the Patriots and he was awful in Cleveland, which led to the Pats getting him on the cheap.

Will he buy into Patricia, or did he dupe an old coordinator into another big payday?

As noted, Patricia went out of his way to reach on Tavai last year. Tavai did little to show he is worthy of starting so far, although he does have upside running downhill. Lastly, is Jones, who Bears fans know well. He has found a home in Detroit, although he is not a game-breaking player by any respect. The overall talent shines over Green Bay, but overall, there are questions throughout.
