Where do the Chicago Bears group of safeties rank against the rest of the NFC North?

After going position by position through the NFC North, we have reached the back end of the secondary. The Chicago Bears offense ranks pretty low compared to the rest of the division, but the defense has gone up against the best and has shown to be the top group in the NFC North.

So, with just one position left, we will look into where the safeties rank. Remember, we are looking at the group as a whole more than just the starters.

4. Detroit Lions

Tracy Walker, Duron Harmon, Will Harris, Jayron Kearse

The Lions very well may have the best depth in the division. They also could get all four of these safeties on the field without the force of the injury. That is how Matt Patrica will run his defense.

Still, all have a jack of all trades, master of none, vibe, and compared to some big names in the division, it pushes the Lions down.

Walker is a versatile safety and a sound tackler, ascending into the NFL. Harmon was a reliable single high safety from New England. Harris was a draft pick who showed well in his rookie season and Kearse was signed from Minnesota. He is the depth name of the group.

In New England, McCourty and Chung started while Harmon played specific packages that were able to push both starters into the box. You would assume Harmon was brought in so that the versatile Walker and Harris could move around in the box and give three safety looks.

This is all great on paper, but we have seen nothing and no little about the deployment yet.
