1 Minnesota Vikings
Harrison Smith, Anthony Harris, Brian Cole, Josh Metellus
Harrison Smith may have hit his peak in the NFL and is now over the age of 30. Still, he is right in the conversation with Eddie Jackson, and they are the clear one and two in the division to date.
Smiths’ ability to move around and make plays all over the field is what separates him from so many others.
What separates the Vikings is Anthony Harris. You do not just franchise tag anyone, so you know what kind of play the Vikings were getting from Harris last year. The fact is that the versatility between Smith and Harris deadly, and the Vikings understood the value of it.
If the Bears were able to keep Adrian Amos on the cheap, they could very well be up here above the Vikings. However, most would put the Vikings duo as the top in the league right now. Most would say that they have two above-average starters, and both could be argued as elite performers.
The Vikings have two rookies as depth, so things could get dicey quickly. Still, the duo is excellent and too tough to push down the rankings.
