The Chicago Bears bring an inside look with 1920 Football Drive docuseries

When the Chicago Bears announced that the team will no longer hold training camp at Bourbonnais, many fans were disappointed. Instead, the team will now hold training camp at the newly renovated Halas Hall. This means that fewer fans were going to be able to attend. Well, the 2020 year had a different plan in mind for all of us anyway. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, fans are no longer able to attend camp anyway.

Although the Chicago Bears stated that their new “1920 Football Drive” docuseries has been in the works for several seasons, releasing it this year is even more important in developing a fan connection this season. The team released a trailer for the new docuseries and the first episode airs tonight at 8:00 p.m.

I am not sure about you, but I am very excited about this docuseries. It will be the only way that we have inside access to the team since the media is unable to report much about what they see while in attendance.

What exactly will we see on this docuseries?

The Chicago Bears are not going to release any footage they do not want teams to see. Therefore, we should not get our hopes up too much. However, could we figure out who looks better between the quarterbacks? What about which receivers on the backend of the roster are seeing the most looks? Who is seeing the most looks at starting safety next to Eddie Jackson? These are all questions we want answers to as fans. Hopefully, we get some of them from this docuseries.

The team released a clip from camp yesterday too. It was of Mitchell Trubisky looking off the safety (Deon Bush) and hitting newly acquired tight end Jimmy Graham on what looks like a seam route. This was a 7-on-7 drill and we should not get too excited, but hey, it is football and we need some of that in our lives right now.

dark. Next. Four Chicago Bears on the roster bubble

With how popular the show “Hard Knocks” is on HBO, this looks to be a small taste of that for Bears fans. Again, the team will control what is shown (a little different than Hard Knocks), but reports are we will see team meetings, day-to-day operations and practices. We heard Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace in the trailer, but we will likely hear from players who are mic’d up as well.
