With the roster set, we take a stab at predicting the Chicago Bears depth chart

The Chicago Bears have narrowed down who will be on the 53-man roster by making necessary cuts over the weekend. Then the team followed that up by selecting 16 players to be placed on the practice squad.

Other than naming Mitch Trubisky the starter for Week 1, there are a few holes and question marks left for us to consider. Who will get the nod at right guard? Who will be the starting corner across from Kyle Fuller? How will the defensive line shake out with Eddie Goldman not playing this season? The list goes on.

Now, rather than have a full section dedicated to the special team’s unit, we know that the punter will for sure be Pat O’Donnell. He is also going to be the place holder on field goals and extra points. As of now, Eddy Pineiro would be the lock as the starting kicker, but if he is not healthy enough it will be Cairo Santos for Week 1. Santos would also handle kickoff duties.

Long snapping duties will go to Patrick Scales of course and when it comes to kickoff and punt returns we will see Cordarrelle Patterson on kickoffs and Tarik Cohen on punts. Now that special teams are out of the way, we can get to the more fun stuff — the offense and defense.
