Chicago Bears vs. New York Giants

When you play against weaker teams, you must find ways to win. The Chicago Bears have experienced this both ways against the Giants over the last two years. The first was when they lost in 2018 in overtime after a huge run by Saquon Barkley. Last year, they found a way to stay on top of another very close game.

Just like the game against the Lions, the Chicago Bears cannot fall susceptible to losing to a less talented team. The one big addition the Giants made this offseason was James Bradberry. Bradberry was a player I liked and hoped the Bears looked into, but he was overpaid by the Giants in my opinion. Outside of that, ex-Packer Blake Martinez was the only other free-agent addition that was not just meh. Neither player excites me enough to find the defense better.

With the Giants defense ranked 28th in defensive DVOA last year, the Bears should be able to find success moving the ball. The key for the Chicago Bears this year is scoring touchdowns opposed to field goals and turnovers when in opponent’s territory. Something they struggled with since even 2018.

Prediction: Bears win again and start the year 2-0
