Cody Whitehair is as consistent as you can get at the position

Centers: Cody Whitehair, James Daniels

Grade: B-

Center is an interesting position for the Bears because in the last of couple years it has been a position that has seen a bit of movement. Cody Whitehair has mostly been their full-time Center but he has also played some guard.

With the lack of depth, it was tempting to give the Chicago Bears a lower grade here but having Cody as the starting Center makes it tough. Whitehair has been in the league for five seasons. The Bears drafted him in the second round of the 2016 draft, and he has proven to be an ironman by never missing a game in his career.

Similar to how I feel about LT Charles Leno, I think Cody Whitehair is a pretty underrated offensive lineman. He can play any position on the interior part of the line, and he plays them at a high level.

While James Daniels is listed as the second-string center, I have a feeling that will change as the season progresses. Daniels is another young player across the Bears O-line looking to make an impact, who I will get into shortly.

Once again the center position starts and ends with Cody Whitehair in 2020. He has shown week-in and week-out that he is a very consistent player, and can play at a high level.
