The Chicago Bears star receiver thoughts.

I have the feeling that Allen Robinson knew that he was going to be asked about everything that has been going on this week. Robinson came in with a lot of laughter. Robinson stressed that the main attraction to coming to the Chicago Bears was head coach Matt Nagy.

Robinson did share his thoughts on how he liked that Nagy would move him around on the offense instead of just playing a traditional “x” receiver. Allen Robinson has no plan to share his thoughts on his contract situation.

Shockingly, Robinson said that he played average against the Detriot Lions. He specified how he could have played better, and plans to do so from here on out as the season progress. I admire a player who understands their lack of play.

Without getting an exact answer about rather Robinson asked for a trade, he simply stated that he has talked to Nagy and Ryan Pace about it and playing with the Bears. Robinson clarified that they are all on the same page which I guess is a good thing, but for sure did not squash the fact that he might have asked for a trade.

It does not seem that the lack of quarterback talent is the reasoning behind this move. It sounds like it might all be contractual. Ryan Pace is known for giving extension to start the year. It sounds like Allen Robinson wants to focus on being with a team long term.

Robinson was asked how he once stated that he wanted to be the best reliever in Chicago Bears’ history. His response was that this is the business side of the NFL. Adam Jahns did get Robinson to share that he still feels the same as he has previously once stated about being a Chicago Bear.
