These are five Chicago Bears’ players we will be watching closely in Week 2

After the unbelievable comeback, the Chicago Bears had against the Detroit Lions in Week 1, the Bears look to build off of that win in their home opener against the New York Giants.

In the first game of the season, the Bears offense looked very different than we saw in the 2019 season. Head coach Matt Nagy catered the offense to the talent he has. By doing so, the Bears ran the ball a lot more and utilized Mitchell Trubisky under center rather than the constant shotgun usage he had last season.

These results paid off as the offense put up 27 points, which they only amassed 27 points twice last season. The offense did have its fair share of struggles at the beginning of the game, but that is understandable as there was no preseason to help the Bears get accustomed to this new style of offense.

The defense looked shaky at times making Adrian Peterson look like himself from 10 seasons ago, but they stepped up when they needed to with a big Akiem Hicks sack and Kyle Fuller interception.

All in all, it was a rollercoaster of a game and the Bears need some players to step up if they want to make a run at the postseason.
