Chicago Bears vs Giants: 5 must-watch players in Week 2
By Joseph Herff
Will the Chicago Bears see the debut of Robert Quinn this week?
DISCLAIMER: At the time I am writing this article, Robert Quinn was limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday, so I am under the assumption he is playing this week and hoping he does.
Quinn did not suit up for the game against the Lions and everyone could tell they needed him out there. The Bears only had one sack as it felt much like last season where teams held and double-teamed Khalil Mack all game and the other pass rusher couldn’t generate any pressure. Quinn should provide much more pressure than James Vaughters, Barkevious Mingo, or Trevis Gipson can do combined.
If Quinn plays this week, we should see a very different Bears defense. The Bears pass rush should be nearly unstoppable as Quinn had one of the best pass-rush win rates of the 2019 season and they can’t double him with Mack rushing from the other edge. That should take the pressure off the interior defensive linemen as well as he will draw a lot of attention.
