What Madden 21 predicts for the Chicago Bears Week 2 matchup vs the Giants

After a nail-biting comeback win in Detroit, the Chicago Bears come home to face the New York Giants at Soldier Field. The Bears are favored to win this game, but it should not be considered an easy win. The Giants always play pesky against the Bears, especially the last two seasons. Coming off a tough loss to the Steelers, the Giants are looking to get things going, especially for Saquon Barkley, who was held to only six yards rushing on Monday night.

Now that all predictions and takes have been made, we let Madden 21 simulate a game between these two teams. The Bears beat Detroit in the first-week sim, and they also come out on top in week two, beating the Giants 42 to 24.

Stats:

Chicago Bears

New York Giants

  • Daniel Jones – 18/33 completions, 239 yards, two interceptions, 52.4 passer rating, six rushes for 23 yards, one touchdown
  • Saquon Barkley – 18 carries/80 yards
  • Wayne Gallman Jr – four carries/13 yards, two touchdowns
  • Golden Tate – seven catches/100 yards
  • Sterling Shephard – four catches/45 yards
  • Blake Martinez – eight tackles, one tackle for loss
  • Jabrill Peppers – eight tackles, one tackle for loss
  • Kyker Fackrell – two sacks, four tackles, one tackle for loss

How did the Chicago Bears do overall in the simulation for Week 2?

All in all, the Bears played a great game. It was a defensive game for the Bears, as the offense did not put up crazy numbers. Still, Mitchell Trubisky was efficient and did not turn the ball over. The rushing game did not get a lot of yards but accounted for three touchdowns.

Trubisky threw two touchdowns, including one to Anthony Miller who had another big game. The defense played very well, forcing two turnovers as well as sacking Daniel Jones four times. They were not great on the run, allowing over 100 yards on the ground as well as three touchdowns, but they were excellent in coverage.

dark. Next. Chicago Bears must blitz New York Giants center

If the Bears can play like this in real life this Sunday, it will be a really solid outing for the Bears, who have not scored over 40 points since 2018. The offense needs to be more consistent all game, and the defense needs to stay sharp for the Bears to come away with this one. Hopefully, Madden 21 is right again, and the Bears really do start the season 2-0.
