Chicago Bears Week 2 Studs

Stud: David Montgomery

In a week where the offense struggled to get anything going at times, you can make the argument that David Montgomery could’ve been the MVP. The second-year back had 16 carries, for 82 yards while also catching three passes for another 45 yards and a touchdown.

This was a really solid game for Montgomery, and to top it off he showed how tough he is by coming back from this very scary hit.

Stud: Mitch Trubisky

After being named my MVP of the game last week, I think Mitch Trubisky turned in another solid performance that his final box score may not tell you. Trubisky went 18/28, 190 yards, two touchdowns, and two picks.

On paper, these stats may not look great but when I watched Trubisky on Sunday I saw a QB who looked like he was poised in the pocket while going through his reads. He also had the phenomenal throw to Anthony Miller that was dropped in the end zone.
