Allen Robinson should bounce back for Chicago Bears in Week 3
Allen Robinson did not perform up to his level in Week two. He has a great chance to make that up for the Chicago Bears on Sunday
Week two was not the best performance by Allen Robinson, but if there is anything we have seen from Robinson is his career, it is that this letdown game will only lead to multiple show-out games down the line.
Beyond that, James Bradberry is underrated and got a huge payday this offseason for a reason. He has held up against Mike Evans, Julio Jones, and Michael Thomas six times a year for the past four years. That cornerback is battle-tested and much better than public perception admits.
Now, heading into Sunday Allen Robinson is not going to see the same coverage at all. One of the best things about Robinson is how often he moves around. He runs 31% of his routes on the left side, 28% on the right, and 42% in the slot. He is everywhere. Bradberry followed Robinson most of Sunday, but the Falcons play sides.
A.J. Terrell is 92% a left side cornerback according to PFF. Isaiah Oliver has spent 83% of his snaps on the right side, and Darqueze Dennard spent 91% of his coverage snaps in the slot. Robinson is going to see a blend of each and should be fine with all of them.
D.K. Metcalf beat both Terrell and Oliver deep in Week One. He put up 45 yards and a TD against Oliver, and 50 yards, with two first downs against Terrell. Lockett welcomed Terrell to the NFL as well, but Lockett mainly had his success in the slot.

However, one thing worth noting in week two, is that Terrell bounced back in a big way, allowing just seven yards to Cowboys WRs. The Cowboys move their wide receivers around a lot too, and they were avoiding Terrell to attack Oliver and Dennard.
Oliver was burnt deep for the second straight week, this time by Michael Gallup. Double moves, and other fakes that can throw him off often leave him in the dust. Terrell is young but is more disciplined.
Still, while Oliver gave up 61 yards to Dallas, they destroyed Dennard in the slot, who allowed 11-14 for 118 yards, Seven of the 11 receptions went for first downs.
CeeDee Lamb had the most success, but Cooper moved in the slot as well for two first downs, on three receptions. While Anthony Miller could bounce back, do not be surprised to see Allen Robinson the slot.
Arguably, the best way to deploy the Bears wide receivers on Sunday would be to put Wims outside on Terrell as a decoy. Then, they have Darnell Mooney on Oliver, who consistently loses down the field. Then, the Bears would have Robinson in the slot on Dennard, who has been beaten up in his first two starts with Atlanta.
No matter the case, Robinson needs to find a way to get open. Cooper. Lamb, Gallup, Lockett, and Metcalf all moved around and beat up these cornerbacks. Robinson should too.
