Chicago Bears NFL ranking – 19

Blasphemy continues to be my response to the NFL.com rankings. This is the lowest of the three rankings, but not my biggest gripe. How in the hell are the Bears ranked 19th while the Browns are ranked 17th? NFL.com moved the Browns up from 25th to 17th too which is just crazy. After only scoring six points versus the Ravens in Week 1, the Browns scored 35 points against the Bengals. That’s great, but they also gave up 30. A Bengals team that scored only 13 in Week 1.

I will never understand it when the Browns are 1-1 on the season and the Bears are 2-0. The Bengals are not some powerhouse and the Browns showed nothing against a Ravens team that actually is a powerhouse.

Just like the other two rankings, I am not a fan of how hight the Patriots are on any of them. That team is not complete and I do not trust Cam Newton for a full season. If the Chicago Bears come out and play a full game versus the Falcons in Week 3, I expect the team to be moved up into the top 12 by all three of these rankings. It won’t happen, but it should at 3-0. If the Bears lose a close game to the Falcons, the team should remain in the bottom half of the teens.
