Anthony Miller, Wide Receiver

On the flip side of Mooney, Anthony Miller may have fallen out of favor from head coach Matt Nagy. According to Nagy, he is still running the wrong routes in year three in the NFL and in this system. He saw himself receiving fewer snaps than Wims against the Giants after dropping a perfectly thrown touchdown pass from Trubisky and dropping a third-down pass while additionally running the route incorrectly.

The Falcons got gashed last weekend in the slot by rookie CeeDee Lamb. He led the Dallas Cowboys in receiving yards and was a major part of the 20-point comeback. If Miller earns his role back in the slot, he will have to have a great game in order to return to favor of Nagy.

Both Wims and Mooney impressed the past two weeks, so Miller struggling doesn’t guarantee him a spot for a lot of playing time. The Bears will want Miller to play as he did against the Lions as he played at a high-level near the end of the game and was very important in the comeback catching the game-winning touchdown.
