The Chicago Bears must take advantage of a weak Atlanta secondary

The Chicago Bears are off to a nice 2-0 start in 2020, while it has been a pleasant surprise, they can easily be 0-2 if a few things went differently. The Falcons are on the other side of this coin at 0-2.

After getting beat rather handily by the Seattle, they suffered a crushing defeat by Dallas after choking away a lead only the Falcons know-how. I believe this Falcons secondary is a good chance for this Chicago Bears passing game to show what they can do.

Mitch Trubisky has been a bit of a mixed bag so far this season. After looking really bad for three quarters against the Lions, he had some ups and downs against New York but I thought he mostly looked pretty solid.

The Falcons, have given up monster games to Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson so far in 2020. Of course, Mitch is not one of those guys but this Bears team does have legit talent at the wide receiver position that can beat these Falcon corners.

Falcon corner A.J. Terrell looks like he is going to be a solid player in this league, he struggled a bit in Week 1 but looked much better in week two. PFF had him graded at a very solid 79.8, being thrown at three times only allowing one catch for seven yards.

Rounding out the CB starters with Isaiah Olliver, and Darqueze Dennard, both of these guys are prone to giving up the big play. Especially Olliver he has struggled mightily during his Falcons tenure.

How do the Chicago Bears match up?

I really think these Bears receivers match-up well against the Falcons DBs. You can argue that Allen Robinson is better than anyone in the Falcons secondary and just trying to cover him is going to be an issue for Atlanta.

When you add in players like Anthony Miller, and Cordarrelle Patterson, and Darnell Mooney who seems to be a rising player in this league, I think Atlanta is going to have their work cut out for them.

Next. Can Anthony Miller bounce back?. dark

This is going to be a tough test for both teams, Atlanta has a very poor defense and you can make the argument that Chicago’s offense hasn’t been the most potent either. Mitch can really put his stamp on this game with his play and can be a great confidence-building performance moving forward.
