Chicago Bears will not face A.J. Terrell as he tests positive for Covid-19.

Going into week three, the Chicago Bears are going to be playing an Atlanta Falcons team plagued by injuries. Names like Julio Jones, Donte Fowler Jr, and Jake Matthews are all currently questionable for the game. Unfortunately, the Falcons now have a new issue to deal with after rookie first round cornerback A.J. Terrell tested positive for COVID-19. His results came in Friday, after he had a full practice with the team. So far there are no other positive cases for the Falcons, but it will be something to keep an eye on this weekend.

The Bears will be facing an Atlanta secondary missing three starters now, with Terrell, Damontae Kazee, and Ricardo Allen all most likely to miss Sunday’s game. The Falcons have been a bottom of the league defense this season, and missing their best players in the secondary will not help their situation. The Bears should look to capitalize, and it should be a big game for Mitchell Trubisky. It is never wished upon for a team to have players out, but the Bears have to take care of business in Atlanta. It should be a bit easier considering the Falcons are severely banged up.

Many might question if the Bears are concerned about a possible COVID-19 outbreak considering there could be more positive cases which are unknown right now. For now, the Bears have to go into it like every other game, and not think about that. All tests have come back negative so far for the Falcons, which is a good sign. Contract tracing has also been set in motion.

The Chicago Bears will look to take advantage of a depleted Falcons team this Sunday. Unfortunately, the Falcons have been hit hard by the injury bug, but that is just part of football, and the Bears cannot play soft. Best wishes go out to A.J. Terrell that he has a speedy recovery, but for now the Bears are looking for a big win on Sunday.
