Eddie Jackson will need to play with an edge today
Eddie Jackson is silently on pace for 100 tackles or better for the Chicago Bears this season. It’s no secret he’s one of the best defensive backs in the game. Another All-Pro year is in the works. An unfortunate penalty had an interception return called back last Sunday. Despite the call, Jackson showed that he could still reign as the deciding show stopper on the defense.
Jackson is still flying around on defense making an impact. He tallied seven combined tackles in week two after having six in the season opener. The interception that was called back is still lingering on the minds of fans.
Hopefully, we can see Jackson make a big play on Sunday. Atlanta has a steady offense that will throw everything at their disposal to move the ball. Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley will look to get across the field all Sunday. Eddie Jackson, Jaylon Johnson, Kyle Fuller, and company will have their hands full in week three.
Anthony Miller must bounce back for the Chicago Bears
Anthony Miller had a drop in the first quarter for a touchdown. The play would’ve been a big boost for the team. After coming off four receptions for 76 yards and a score, Miller finished week two with zero catches. In week three, I expect a short and simple start to get Miller going. A few times during week two, he found himself open against the defense. Separation wasn’t the problem last week. A consistent connection must be established between him and Trubisky on both ends.
Miller is still young with enough room to learn from his mistakes. A big year is still expected of him. As good as the depth is, he shouldn’t be lost in rotation. Anthony Miller is a stand out talent, and Atlanta’s defensive shortcoming allows more opportunity for his redemption. The Bears look to remain unbeaten after the showdown in the Mercedes-Benz Dome.
