Tanner Morgan, Minnesota

The University of Minnesota had one of its best seasons in school history winning 11 games. That was only the second time that has happened in school history since 1905. Tanner Morgan was a big part of that.

Last season was the first year Morgan became the full-time starter and he stepped up big time. Morgan completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,253 yards and 30 touchdowns. He only threw seven interceptions.

Morgan doesn’t pop out as a great athlete like Lance or doesn’t have the out-of-this-world arm strength, but his confidence on the field and his accuracy is very impressive. He has a good enough arm that doesn’t stand out but is good enough for the NFL.

Morgan flashes all the tools needed to excel at the NFL level. His arm strength, accuracy, decision-making, and deep ball all have shown that they can develop at the next level. This year will be telling for Morgan as he lost two of his top talents to the NFL in Tyler Johnson and Rodney Smith. He still has star wideout Rashod Bateman, so we will see how he does.

Morgan could likely be taken in the second or third round.
