Chicago Bears Week 3 WR report: Nick Foles ignites Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller
The Chicago Bears eventually took advantage a weak Falcons secondary
The Allen Robinson dropped touchdown turned interception would have been a much-discussed topic had the Chicago Bears lost a one-possession game. It was out of character to see Robinson lose a dog fight, but it was the second week a row that happened after James Bradberry showed out last week.
However, that pass from Nick Foles showed Robinson that he trusts him, and Foles went right back to Robinson as the two delivered to help keep the comeback alive. Here is the week 3 wide receiver report
Allen Robinson
The Bears move Robinson around often and he saw a variety of the Falcons wide receivers. However, he was 3-4 for 72 yards against Isaiah Oliver. He was 2-2 for nine yards against Blidi Wreh-Wilson and 2-4 against Darqueze Dennard with the interception being one of the incompletions.
In total, Robinson finished with 10-14 and 123 yards. He had five first downs too, although the interception and two PBUs will linger.
Anthony Miller
Mitch Trubisky missed Anthony Miller for a touchdown in the first half. Nick Foles hit him for a touchdown on the same play, and that says everything you need to know. Miller is still the number three, and slot only, but finished 2-5 for 41 yards and that fateful 28-yard touchdown. This was done against Wreh-Wilson, who allowed both catches.
Darnell Mooney
With Robinson beating Oliver, and Miller beating Wreh-Wilson, Darnell Mooney saw a lot of Dennard. If you as Mooney or even Robinson for that matter, they would say that Dennard is the Falcons best cornerback. Mooney was only targeted four times, and only one came against Dennard. They had to move him around, and he caught two passes, with one for 12 going against Oliver, and one for seven against Wreh-Wilson. These two were just too easy to pick on.
Javon Wims and Ted Ginn combined for 1 catch on three targets as well.
Season Totals
