Chicago Bears CBS ranking – 10
The CBS rankings are the best of the three national media outlets. Quite frankly, I think that CBS has the Chicago Bears too high. Hard to believe a Bears fan would think that the team is too high in power rankings, but 10 is just too high for a team that has struggled against the Lions, Giants and Falcons.
Now, I won’t complain. I am glad to see the Chicago Bears are getting some national recognition. That is definitely deserved. That said, being 3-0 does not always mean that team is better than every other team that is 2-1 on the season. For example, I think the Rams are a better team right now. The Cardinals are close too. Both of these teams are currently lower than the Bears.
I am glad to see that the Colts are lower on this list though. CBS has them 15th with a two-spot increase between Week 3 and Week 4. In comparison, the Chicago Bears saw an eight-spot jump. The Colts seem to be hot and cold, very similar to their new quarterback Philip Rivers. If the Bears walk away 4-0, then I would put them in the top 10.
