The Chicago Bears finally returned back down to earth in a tough Week 4 loss.

Even though Foles had an extremely promising 4th quarter last week, nobody was too surprised with the Chicago Bears’ loss this past week. It was a telling game and despite recent comebacks, this one never felt like a game that Chicago was going to win. The Bears were outplayed, plain and simple.

The offense looked terrible and the defense played an uninspired game. This home matchup against Indianapolis put the Bears in their place. Everybody said they were pretenders and when they came up against a real team, they didn’t seem to stand a chance. But this isn’t the end of the world. This is still a solid team with three wins on their record already.

In fact, this week is the perfect week for an overreactions piece because, well, everybody does a lot of overreacting in the first loss of the season. I can’t lie if I said that I didn’t think that this entire organization was screwed for the immediate future before remembering that Chicago is 3-1. It’s human nature to think in extremes.

But at the end of the day, that’s not where this team is. This team could go on a 6-game losing streak and still have a shot at the playoffs. The close victories that we witnessed to open the season have done so much for a team that can’t seem to figure out its own identity.

That being said, today I’ll be overreacting to the Chicago Bears’ Week 4 home loss against the Indianapolis Colts.
