Fire Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy

This is a textbook overreaction. Obviously, nobody is actually saying this and if they are, they’re probably not much of a fan. I’ve said it a million times, the team is 3-1. I can’t say there’s nothing to worry about, but obviously, this isn’t the time to sound the alarms.

That being said, when does the conversation start for Matt Nagy to be fired as Head Coach? After some dark years under Trestman and Fox, the Chicago Bears have bounced back into relevance under Nagy. No, we shouldn’t be speculating on this right now, but there are serious red flags being raised in year 3 for the young Head Coach.

Nagy has made is very clear that he is hands-off on defense, so what exactly has he been doing this whole time? The offense has done nothing but regress since he took over as the Head Coach. The strong defense could originally be attributed to Vic Fangio until he took over in Denver. Now, the Chicago Bears defense is led by Chuck Pagano, a coach who has done a great job replacing him.

But Nagy was an offensive coordinator, so regardless of how the defense plays, he should be able to coach up this attack to at least the middle tier of the NFL. In fact, in year one, he overachieved with the 9th-ranked scoring offense in the league. But we haven’t seen a repeat of this, so the question at hand is this: will we ever see it or will that be his demise?
