To the surprise of some people, the Chicago Bears beat the Buccaneers

After looking really bad against the Colts in week four, many people were down on the Bears and were calling them frauds, myself included. Whether you feel the Chicago Bears are a real team or not doesn’t matter because this team knows how to win.

The Bears notched their fourth win of the season, and their third in comeback fashion. I must say I was surprised by how this team played. The offense was stalling out at times, especially in the first half.

They were still rather inconsistent in the second half but did play much better against a pretty good Tampa Bay defense. As we do every week in this article let’s take a look at who played well, and who struggled on Thursday, starting out with the duds.

Dud: Nick Foles

For the second game in a row, Nick Foles really didn’t look all that great to me. He went 30/42, 243, one touchdown, and a pick. In the first half in particular himself, and the whole passing offense seemed to be struggling.

He played better in the second half but was still missing some throws. His missed throw to Darnell Mooney when he was breaking open was probably the worst of the game. His final numbers don’t look all that bad but Foles has to play better if this team wants to compete.

Dud: The Offensive Line

This Bears offensive line can honestly be considered a dud just about every week. They have one of the worst O-lines in the entire league, Bobby Massie, and Charles Leno might be the worst Tackle tandem in the NFL, and Chicago needs to look to replace them this offseason.

James Daniels went down in the game and it did not look good when backup Alex Bars came into the game. Bars was getting abused by Tampa’s pass rush as soon as he came in.. The Buccaneers registered three sacks but seemed to be getting in the backfield all game long.
