Kevin Zeitler, New York Giants

Part of the Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns trade involved offensive guard Kevin Zeitler being sent to New York. This addition was huge for the Giants as he has been the only consistent guard for the Giants the past few seasons. He has struggled to start this season, but he is still a very capable starting guard nearing the end of his contract.

Zeitler signed a big contract extension with the Browns before being traded. Last year, Zeitler got his contract restructured to free up money for the Giants. He’s costly, but he could be a one-year filler for Daniels and then play in 2021 as well if Germain Ifedi doesn’t return.

Zeitler is an elite pass-blocking offensive guard and has been graded so year after year by Pro Football Focus. He has started all 16 games in five of the last eight seasons and has only missed one game in the last five seasons. Zeitler is a consistent high-end guard that could help this Bears’ offense greatly. The only issue he is a right guard, but with his experience, he should be able to move well.
