The Chicago Bears recently lost James Daniels to a season-ending torn pectoral injury. This was a big blow for the Chicago Bears as Daniels was having the best season of his short career. Alex Bars came in and looked everything but good. Maybe it was jitters, but he will need to be better if he wants to maintain that starting spot for the rest of the season. He did look slightly better as the game went on, but he could become a liability the team cannot afford.

To help solve the problem, the Chicago Bears and Ryan Pace should call the Jacksonville Jaguars who have been on a bit of a fire sale this season. Andrew Norwell would probably be an upgrade over James Daniels if we are being honest. Offensive guards do not go for much in regards to draft capital. In fact, I’d start with a fifth-round pick for Norwell and not go any higher than a third.

Norwell was a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2017 with the Carolina Panthers. He has had some injury history, but would strong option to replace Daniels as the team makes a push for the playoffs this year. In fact, with Germain Ifedi on a one-year deal, James Daniels could shift to right guard in 2021 while Norwell plays out his final two years of his contract in 2021 and 2022.
